For anyone who, like me, doesn’t live near a Selfridges store, let alone in London, this post may not be for you-unless you enjoy the digital Version of window shopping. However, if you’re lucky enough to have a London postcode, grab your mask and head down to Selfridges, Oxford Street, with a warm foot, and check out the Ren Clean Skincare pop-up store in person, which runs until October.
At the moment, Selfridges is doing wonderful things as part of its commitment to Project Earth, including REN’s clean skin pop-up shop with wonderfully effective skin care products, all made from sustainable and recycled materials. REN does wonderful things for our skin and our planet and has therefore committed to being a waste-free company by 2024 – therefore, each REN product will have packaging that is not only recycled, but also recyclable, with many lines offering a reusable/refillable solution too. If it doesn’t make you proud to use and recommend REN products, I’m not sure what else it will do.
Exclusively for the Selfridges Project Earth Commitment x Ren Pop Up is the ren Limited Edition Beauty Box-also in collaboration with Silken Favors. In the stunning Marine Illustrated Box (Handmade by Silken Favors, completed with a recycled bow) you will find: three full-size Ren skin care products, two mini-items and a luxury pattern, beautifully combined with a Silken Favors seahorse drawstring toiletry bag. The box itself costs, but the contents are worth £153, so that’s a reasonable saving of 25%!
Each of the products selected as part of the Earth commitment of the REN x Selfridges project has been selected for its revolutionary ingredients, Technology and/or packaging. Let me give you a quick review of the content that is your Star qualities:
– Ren Ready Steady Glow AHA Tonic; 7 benefits for skin care in a 100% recycled sustainable plastic bottle. A wonderful vegan Toner ideal for exfoliating the skin and creating a radiant complexion.
– Ren Overnight Glow Dark Spot Sleeping Cream; a moisturizing night cream that helps reduce discoloration (including annoying spots that leave spots) while you sleep at night. Again, it’s vegan and when buying in full size, the cap is made of 100% recycled plastic and the glass is also completely recyclable.
– Ren Clean clear Jelly oil Cleanser; one of my all-time favorite cleansers, which has been clinically proven to remove the sun protection factor, pollution and even waterproof makeup without removing the skin. The packaging is naturally sustainable, because the Tube is made of 50% recycled plastic and the cap is made of 100% recycled materials.
– Ren Evercalm Global Protection Day Cream; this is a world first and The packaging of such a miracle cream (more on that in a Minute) is your Chance to discover The Ren Infinity packaging-a packaging that has been completely disassembled to make something new, then if you recycle this bottle, it will be reintegrated into the chain. Pretty awesome and something that I hope will become the norm. As for the cream itself, with all the skin problems such as irritation and irritation caused by face coverings, the Ren Evercalm Global Protection Day Cream is a wonderful barrier to soothe, soothe and moisturize.
– Ren clean Screen Mineral SPF30; no shine, no chemical filters and no waste thanks to the recycled tube and cap. An excellent mattifying sunscreen for the face that my oily skin really appreciates. I think it’s also a great base for makeup.
-Ren Atlantic kelp and magnesium anti-fatigue body wash; a wonderfully relaxing addition to any shower, the mineral-rich formula helps calm and restore tired muscles (ideal after the gym), while the recycled packaging, made from discarded plastic bottles, contributes to the planet.
Unfortunately, this is an exclusive store on Oxford Street, but you can buy all the items in it separately if you wish. Fingers crossed that there will be more REN beauty boxes and that they will also be more accessible next time.
